Troubleshooting

Trouble

Cause

Solution

Air leaks from the tank.

The air release valve or filler cap is not properly tightened

Check the valve and filler cap. Fasten them properly

o-rings or cushions are damaged

Check the sealing cushion and o-rings. Replace if damaged

The gasoline tank can not be pressurized

The tank is too full. There is not enough air space.

Make sure there is enough airspace in the tank

The leather bowl of the pump is too dry or deformed

Lubricate the leather bowl with some lubricant, refurnish it.

The screw to fix the leather bowl is loose.

Tighten the screw

No gasoline coming out of the cutting tip

The valve (s) is not open in the fuel line or the gasoline pressure is too low in the tank

Check and make sure all the valves on the fuel line are open, and the gasoline pressure gauge on the tank indicates proper pressure.

The fast-flow check valve is not reset and the fuel line is shut off.

Close the gasoline outlet valve on the tank, lightly tap the side of the gasoline outlet pipe stem to reset the fast-flow check valve. A distinct metallic click should be heard.

Note:

If the gasoline valve on the tank is opened quickly there will be a distinct metallic click as the fast-flow ball check snaps into place and shuts off the fuel. If this happens, the check valve needs to be reset.

Flame dies out after ignition when using a freshly refilled tank

There is air in the gasoline line.

O pen the preheat oxygen valve and gasoline valve, hold the oxy-gasoline cutting torch high until gasoline mist coming out of the cutting tip evenly.

Gasoline drips from the cutting tip or flame is yellow at one side.

Oversupply of gasoline or undersupply of preheat oxygen

Increase preheat oxygen supply or reduce gasoline supply by a djusting the gasoline valve and preheat oxygen valve

Cutting tip is not well fastened

Tighten the cutting tip with a pair of wrenches or unfasten the cutting tip and refurnish it

Cutting tip is overheated or destroyed during operation

Too little gasoline supply or the flame core is not pronounced for 3mm -5mm during the operation.

Increase gasoline supply. Keep the flame core pronounced for 3 -5mm from the cutting tip.

No gasoline flows out from the cutting tip, the gasoline gauge on the tank indicates growing pressure when opening the oxygen valve.

The cutting tip has been destroyed.

Replace the cutting tip with a new one. It is strictly prohibited to use damaged or destroyed cutting tip.

The flame does not distinguish after shutting up the gasoline valve.

T he gasoline valve on the oxy-gasoline cutting torch is warn and does not close well.

Open the preheat oxygen valve to blow out the flame. Get the oxy-gasoline cutting torch repaired.

There is cracking noise while shutting down.

T he preheat oxygen valve is shut before the flame dies out completely.

Shut gasoline valve and wait until the flame dies out before shutting the preheat oxygen valve.

There is cracking noise during ignition.

Insufficient gasoline supply

I ncrease a little gasoline supply by adjusting the gasoline valve on the oxy-gasoline cutting torch.
